Pret A Manger
A relaxed Manchester cafe with high chairs, outdoor seating and vegan options — handy for a quick family stop.

Restaurant · Manchester
Bottomless brunch is what this Deansgate spot is known for, so weekend afternoons get lively and loud — worth booking, and worth going early if you've got little ones who wilt in noise. Off-peak, though, it's a genuinely easy family lunch: buggies get in without a fight, high chairs are there, and there's outdoor seating when the weather plays along. The kids' menu is a proper one, and vegans and vegetarians are unusually well served. The beef tacos with their guacamole come up again and again, as does the chilli con carne; the calamari is more batter than squid, so skip it. Staff get consistent praise for being warm and quick to check in — one parent called the service "10/10" — and the music sits at a level you can talk over.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
