Tucked into an 1800s building, this is a proper sit-down café rather than a grab-and-go — warm inside, and quiet enough on weekdays that one family found it worked fine for a newborn. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted, and free parking takes one worry off the morning. The cake cabinet is the draw: freshly baked, home-made style, and children are happy enough with cake and hot chocolate while the adults share an afternoon tea.
