The Tramway Cafe
Busy, spotless Saundersfoot café with huge breakfasts, quick service, outdoor tables and the option to reserve ahead with children.

Right on the seafront, this is the sort of place you can bring the whole family without the meal feeling like a military operation — there's plenty of public parking out front, buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu, and the room is roomy enough that conversation happens without shouting. The windows look straight out at the beach, and a mirrored back wall means whoever draws the short straw still gets the sea view. Staff are the standout: present without hovering, quick with recommendations, genuinely kind with a table. Prawns and the pistachio ice cream with coffee poured over it get raved about, and there's a dedicated vegan menu — worth asking for it, as it isn't always offered. Prices sit at the higher end and it's popular enough that booking is sensible, especially in holiday season.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
