Shawarma City
Cheap, fast city-centre shawarma with big portions, freshly fried falafel, high chairs and free soup and bread while you wait.

Pizza · Birmingham
Stone-baked pizza is the draw here, but it's the halal Middle Eastern side that makes it work for mixed tables — kebab platters, half chicken and rice, shish taouk, and a halal tiramisu people go out of their way for. Portions are generous and prices are genuinely low, so feeding everyone doesn't sting. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and pavement tables, plus extra seating upstairs if the ground floor is busy. Staff are warm and quick with orders, and happy to accommodate small requests. One caveat worth knowing: when it's packed, food can arrive in stages and the wait stretches — not ideal with a hungry toddler, so order everything at once and ask them to bring the children's food first. Central Birmingham location, so parking means a city car park.
