Inside it's small, bright and airy, with a simple Mediterranean feel — intimate rather than roomy, so a pram needs a bit of shuffling, though buggy access and high chairs are there and outdoor tables help in summer. There's a kids' menu, and the downstairs room takes big family groups: one family of seventeen ate there happily. Carbonara, the risotto with Italian sausage, salmon on pea purée and tiramisu all get real praise, and the two-course lunch deal is genuinely good value. Worth knowing: downstairs tables are small, service can drag when it's busy, and it's worth asking not to be seated by the door.
