Budding Picassos Ceramic café
A Sheffield paint-your-own pottery café where kids and adults can settle in for a creative, hands-on afternoon.

Restaurants · Sheffield
A small, intimate spot where five people around a table on a Friday night could still hear each other talk — worth knowing if loud rooms make family meals hard. Tables downstairs are snug, so ask about upstairs if you're a bigger group with a pram; there are high chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access and free parking. Book ahead, because it fills up. The food is properly fresh Italian: the tomato, garlic and cheese pizza bread gets rave after rave, and the lasagne, carbonara, mussels and calzone all come in generous, well-presented portions and arrive quickly. Staff are friendly and attentive without hovering. You can bring your own wine or beer, though corkage is around £4 a bottle and £1 a beer. Regulars describe it simply as somewhere they "love it here".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
