It's an independent café rather than a chain, roomy enough that a buggy isn't a battle — there's a proper ramp to all the internal areas and a large loo with a sliding door, so changing a nappy doesn't mean wedging yourself into a cupboard. Food comes out fast, which is the whole game when someone's melting down: the full English gets constant praise for proper bacon and sausage and chunky toast, and the poached eggs with avocado and smoked salmon is the one people go back for. High chairs, a kids' menu and free parking. The staff are chatty and quick — one visitor knocked a knife off the table and had fresh cutlery before they could reach for it. A few find it slightly pricey for a café.
