A calm, cosy room with proper space between the front door and the table, and enough seating that a family with a buggy isn't wedged in a corner — though tables do sit close together, so a lively toddler will be heard. Food tends to arrive fast, which matters when someone's patience is thinning, and the staff are friendly and attentive with it. The menu leans towards sharing, which works well with children: karaage chicken, gyoza, prawns and edamame in a spicy red sauce all get particular praise, and the crème brûlée with its tea flavour is worth splitting. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options and a few outdoor tables. Worth knowing: it's around £30–35 a head, and not everyone finds the ramen lives up to the price. Booking is wise at weekends.
