Pho Liverpool Bold street
Relaxed Bold Street Vietnamese with a kids' menu, high chairs, photo menus for picky eaters and famously patient, welcoming staff.

Steak house · Liverpool
Bold Street is not where you'd expect to find a steak place that works with children in tow, but this one manages it — buggies get in, high chairs are there, and there's a kids' menu plus a few outdoor tables for when small people need air. The staff are the reason families come back: attentive, quick to top up drinks, unfazed by last-minute bookings, and generous with little surprises like a birthday cake or a complimentary dessert. Portions are big, the ribeye comes back cooked properly, and the creamy spinach side gets singled out again and again, as do the halloumi fries and cheesy meatballs. The three-course lunch at around £22 is the sensible family option — the premium cuts climb steeply and have occasionally disappointed. Booking ahead is genuinely worth it; walk-ins can be tight.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
