Cosy country pub near Stamford with generous roasts, a proper kids' menu, high chairs, garden seating and free parking.

Cafés · Stamford
A proper old-fashioned village caff attached to a fruit-and-veg and plant stall, so you can grab bread, eggs and a bunch of flowers on the way out — small things that make a stop with children feel worth the detour. Free parking, buggy access and outdoor seating take the stress out of arriving, and there are high chairs and a kids' menu inside. The all-day breakfasts get the most love (eggs cooked properly, nothing swimming in grease), and the £8.50 Sunday roast is genuinely good value, with proper old-school puddings after. Two honest warnings: Sunday mornings bring the car boot crowd next door and waits can stretch well past what you're told, so go early or go mid-week. Coffee is not the reason to come. But for a cheap, filling family fry-up, regulars keep going back.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
