Restaurant · Swansea
A proper Swansea city-centre cafe that's been going for generations, with the sort of retro fittings — old tables, warm lighting, a bit 1960s — that children find as interesting as the grown-ups do. It's bigger inside than the frontage suggests, so there's usually room to park a pram without blocking anyone, and although it fills up it rarely feels cramped. There's no music, just the hum of tables being served, and the staff are quick and happy to chat. Waitress service means you sit down and someone comes over within minutes, which matters when a toddler has hit their limit. Breakfasts, jacket potatoes with generous fillings, cawl and paninis all come well praised, plus their own coffee and a knickerbocker glory for pudding. High chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor seating; it does get busy at lunchtime.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
