The promenade alongside is flat and easy for a pram, and there's a covered veranda if you'd rather sit outside without gambling on the weather. High chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options — including vegan ice cream — cover most of the table, and the toilets are round the back. Food is cooked to order, so expect a wait when it's busy; the brie, bacon and cranberry panini and the burger box get raved about, and prices are reasonable. Parking is plentiful, though the pay-and-display machine isn't the café's own. One parent sums it up simply: "friendly, hardworking staff".
