Twists Bistro
Independent Plympton bistro with a quiet enclosed garden, free parking, proper coffee and brunch bowls families come back for.

Restaurant · Plymouth
A high-street breakfast spot on the Ridgeway with prices that make a family outing painless — expect praise for freshly cooked plates delivered hot, perfect eggs, and a menu range that keeps fussy eaters and grown-ups happy. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor seating and free parking, and the walls are covered in Royal Marine pictures and memorabilia, which gives the room real character. Access is wide at the front door, though a couple of small steps with a handrail lead down into the main space, and tables run small — worth knowing if you're arriving with a pram and car seat in tow. Service is usually the highlight, with one parent noting "nothing is too much trouble", but a family visit here did report a chilly welcome, so it's worth going at a quieter hour. Closed two days a week.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
