Cheltenham has plenty of upmarket Indian places, but this is the down-to-earth curry house sort — relaxed, clean, and easy to bring children into. Buggy access is straightforward, and the team are quick to help people through the door; high chairs and a kids' menu are there when you need them. Food comes out fresh-cooked, portions are decent, and the menu runs from familiar curries to less usual South Indian dishes like the Elachi Poriol. The mixed platter, especially the shish kebab, gets the loudest praise, and the naans are big. Service tends to be fast and genuinely warm — one family were brought an extra papadam for a delay they hadn't even noticed. Not every visit lands: a few have found the meat dry or the spicing milder than billed, so ask for it hot if that matters.
