About Honeystreet Mill Cafe

Sitting beside the canal in a cluster of barns — including one packed with colourful Indian furniture and a little shop selling Indian gifts and local produce — this is a genuinely lovely spot for a wander after lunch. Buggy access is easy, parking is free (though tight at peak times), and there are high chairs, a kids' menu and plenty of outdoor tables. The Bargee Breakfast gets real praise, hash browns properly made, and the panini-and-homemade-coleslaw lunches go down well; the cake cabinet is the main event and portions are generous. Staff are consistently warm and friendly. Two honest snags: it's expensive for what it is, and at busy times you can queue a while to order and find outdoor tables haven't been cleared. Go mid-morning on a weekday and it's a much calmer experience.
