Cafés · Blandford Forum
Tucked away on a working farm outside Blandford Forum, this is the sort of place you find by accident and then keep going back to. Tables sit in an old barn full of character, with shelves of Dorset tea, jams and chutneys, and a cake counter that is genuinely hard to walk past. Parking is free in the field alongside, which fills up at weekends, and there's outdoor seating plus animals outside that will keep small children happily occupied while you finish your coffee. High chairs and a kids' menu are sorted, and buggies get in without a fight. Portions are generous — fish finger sandwiches with skin-on chips, warm fruit scones with proper clotted cream, and brownies families rave about. The staff, including the owners, are warm with children. Afternoon tea is worth booking ahead.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
