Cafés · Abergele
Right opposite the caravan park at Pensarn, this roadside café has become the fallback that turns into the habit — the place holidaying families find when the site restaurant is shut and then come back to all week. It's bright, spotlessly clean and busy, with easy free parking and outdoor tables that work well if you've got a pram or a dog in tow. Food arrives fast, which matters with a hungry toddler; one visitor had a full Welsh breakfast on the table within three minutes. The big breakfasts around £8 are enormous, and the butcher's sausages get mentioned again and again, alongside the lasagne, fresh scones and a Welsh cream tea. High chairs and a kids' menu are sorted. It does get packed, and there's no getting round the queue at weekend mornings — but the team stay cheerful and patient through it.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
