Pub · Nottingham
A proper little Nottingham boozer that's kept its warmth through a change of hands — the place is clean, the prices are kind, and the family running it will happily chat to you while your two are working through the kids' menu. High chairs are there, the door and floor work fine for a buggy, and there's outdoor seating when the noise inside gets much. And it does get lively: open mic on Sundays, free pool Tuesdays, quiz on Thursdays, and the odd country night that gets the room rocking — brilliant for older kids, less so for a nap in the pram. The beer selection is the draw for grown-ups, though soft drinks and mixers aren't cheap. One small gripe from regulars: the lighting is bright to the point of unforgiving.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
