The burgers are the reason to come — the bacon cheeseburger and the New Yorker with pastrami, pickles and sauerkraut both get raved about, the skin-on fries are good (stick to plain), and the mushrooms and chicken strips make solid starters. An open kitchen means food arrives hot and quickly, which helps with a hungry toddler. Two honest snags: the music is loud and the acoustics bounce, so conversation can be a struggle at busy times, and it's not cheap — sides and sauces cost extra on top of an £18 burger.
