Tucked a bend away from the main Loch Ness drag, this is a calmer stop than the cruise-side spots, which matters when you're arriving with tired children. There's a big free car park, plenty of seating space so a pram isn't a problem, and food served straight through from lunch to dinner — useful when meal times have gone sideways. Portions are genuinely enormous; families regularly share one plate or take half home. The fish and chips draw the loudest praise (crispy batter, a sauce one parent scored "11 out of 10"), and the Nessie Burger, steak pie and Sunday roast all get a mention. The team are warm and quick with children — they once improvised marshmallows when a birthday candle was needed. Toilets are clean. It sits inside a holiday park, and one visitor found the steak pie dry.
