Food is the draw: thick-toast big breakfasts with proper mushrooms and tomatoes, avocado and salmon on sourdough, a mozzarella, pesto and tomato toastie, and cake worth staying for — the Oreo brownie gets named again and again. Coffee is smooth rather than bitter, and prices are sensible for what arrives. Dogs are welcome. They prefer cash but do take card. One regular calls it "a hidden gem".
