Cafés · Macclesfield
A proper sit-down breakfast spot rather than a grab-and-go counter, and roomy enough that a pram isn't a problem — there's space inside plus more room out the back and pavement seating, with free parking nearby. High chairs and a kids' menu are sorted, and the staff are generally warm and attentive, though it gets genuinely busy on Sunday mornings, so expect a wait at the counter. Food is the draw: thick-toast big breakfasts with proper mushrooms and tomatoes, avocado and salmon on sourdough, a mozzarella, pesto and tomato toastie, and cake worth staying for — the Oreo brownie gets named again and again. Coffee is smooth rather than bitter, and prices are sensible for what arrives. Dogs are welcome. They prefer cash but do take card. One regular calls it "a hidden gem".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
