Café · Wrexham
Right in Wrexham town centre on Lord Street, this is the kind of café that's worth walking past a few others to reach. High chairs and a kids' menu are sorted, and there are tables outside as well as in, handy if you've got a pram and don't fancy squeezing through a full room — because it does fill up, especially Saturday mornings, when there's also a queue for the single shared loo. Breakfast is the main event, alongside paninis, pasta, cakes and ice cream, and the staff are consistently friendly and quick with orders. Regulars call it "calm and relaxing", and it's kept properly clean. Worth knowing: the cooked breakfast is hit and miss — the bacon and mushrooms get praise, the sausages and hash browns rather less.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
