There's a proper Pakistani kitchen behind this one, and it shows — the whole lamb from the Royal Buffet comes out tender and not overly spiced, and the Tawa Platter billed for two or three will comfortably feed four, so a family can share one and still take a box home. Lamb chops, chicken tikka and a big family naan get the most enthusiasm. It's all halal with no alcohol on the premises; a mocktail bar covers drinks instead, which suits a table with children. High chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access, vegan choices and free parking are all sorted, plus outdoor seating for warmer days. The owners tend to come round to the table themselves. One caution: stick to eating in — the takeaway version has let people down on dryness and leaky packaging.
