A big, busy Harvester off the M4 with a Travelodge on site, so parking is plentiful and free — handy when you're unloading a pram and three overtired children. Inside is roomy and easy to navigate with a buggy, and while it fills up on weekends and quiz nights, the noise stays at a comfortable hum rather than a din. Staff are the real draw: patient with children, chatty with them, quick to top up drinks, and known to bring out birthday desserts with candles and a song. The menu is huge, portions generous, and the salad bar keeps small people occupied while mains cook. Garlic bread gets ordered again and again. High chairs, a kids' menu, vegan options and a bit of outdoor seating. One parent left "happy and bloated".
