Cafés · Buxton
A converted farm building on the edge of Buxton, with the shop out front and a big, light café behind it — plenty of tables, room to park a buggy, and no need to squeeze past anyone. Free parking outside makes the arrival much easier with small children. Breakfast is the thing to come for: full English with good local meat, or a breakfast roll cooked to order, though allow about fifteen minutes at busy times. The homity pie is excellent and well priced, and the cake counter is a proper display. The staff are notably kind about awkward orders — gluten-free, vegan, a fussy child — and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating. Worth booking a table if you're a group; walkers fill it at weekends.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
