Goemon Ramen Bar
Relaxed Brighton ramen bar with high chairs and vegan options, serving creative noodle bowls in a laid-back setting.

Sushi · Brighton
A fully vegan spot in the North Laine, this one is easiest to love if you have a child who won't eat fish or a family juggling allergies — everything is plant-based, allergens are clearly labelled and there are plenty of gluten-free choices. The popcorn cauliflower bites are what people come back for, and the nori-wrapped sushi burritos and vegan "salmon" options win over even doubters. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and a few outdoor tables, which you may want, because the room itself is small and can feel cramped and claustrophobic once it's busy — pram parking is a squeeze and there can be a short wait at peak times. Ordering is done on a tablet rather than with staff, though the team are warm when you do speak to them. One parent found the burritos a little soggy; portions have shrunk since the relaunch too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
