Cafés · Haverfordwest
Attached to the Bug Farm, this is a café where the menu is the main event — insect protein worked into flatbread pizzas, bolognese, pakoras and a bug burger that even squeamish first-timers come away raving about, plus Welsh crempogs and chocolate chip cricket cookies the children ask for twice. There's plenty of seating and, crucially, an indoor play area right beside the tables, so a wait is survivable. Buggy access is straightforward, high chairs are there, and the team happily adjusts dishes around dietary needs. Prices are fair for a visitor attraction — one family noted they're "not touristic at all". Two honest notes: if you've booked a session or talk at the farm afterwards, leave a good hour for ordering and eating, and the earthy, slightly dusty note in the bug bolognese isn't for everyone.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
