High chairs and a kids' menu are sorted, and the staff genuinely don't rush you — families are seated quickly and everything comes made to order. The vintage cars and bikes dotted about buy you a good ten minutes of distraction. Breakfasts arrive hot and generous, the homemade veggie burger and sweet potato fries get raved about, the carrot cake and coffee are worth the trip alone, and vegan options are properly thought through. Toilets are spotless, which matters with a nappy change looming. It's popular with locals, so it can get busy and a bit noisy at peak times — and the odd bake misses the mark.
