A steak dinner with children in tow sounds ambitious, but this one handles it better than you'd expect — there's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, and the staff are noticeably patient, talking parents through cuts before ordering rather than rushing them. One mum brought her ten-year-old and they worked through steak, mash and greens, mocktails that arrive looking properly special, and a cookie dough sharing dessert that seems to be the thing everyone remembers. The room is stylish and dimly handsome with good music, dogs are welcome (water bowl brought unasked), and courses come fast — sometimes too fast, as tables are turned on a 90-minute slot at busy times. It isn't cheap, though the three-course lunch and pre-theatre deals around £20 make it far more doable. Worth booking.
