Bedminster's East Street end of Bristol has changed a lot, but this place has held its own — a roomy, modern dining room where a pram isn't a problem and nine of you can sit down without anyone feeling squashed. The team is genuinely warm and good at reading a table: happy to recommend dishes, careful with allergens and gluten-free, and attentive without hovering. Portions are generous enough that a lamb dum biryani stretches between two, and the naan has a proper crunchy bite. The chilli chicken starter and the lamb shank korma get the loudest praise, and the menu's chilli ratings run milder than they look, so cautious eaters are fine. Around £20 a head, there's a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan choices and free parking. One parent found it "spacious and relaxed" — rare for a curry house.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
