Restaurants · Caernarfon
Perched with a view of Snowdon just outside Caernarfon, this hostel restaurant turns out fresh, properly good pizza alongside a Welsh lamb kebab that people come back for — more than one family says they'd return just for that. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options, plus outdoor seating for when little ones need to burn off a wet-weather morning, and free parking right there, which takes the stress out of arriving with a car full of car seats and hiking boots. The team are warm and attentive, full of local knowledge, and genuinely patient with children; families who came for a pre-Christmas meal with a grotto found it worked beautifully. Worth knowing: prices sit slightly higher than you'd expect, and one parent admits it's "marginally overpriced" — but says go anyway.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
