Food comes out hot, well presented and reasonably quick, which matters when someone's patience is running out; the chips are the weak link, on the bland side. Staff are generally warm and attentive, and dogs get a water bowl without being asked. Two honest snags: drinks are pricey for Sheffield — over £6 a pint — and the bar gets busy enough that service can be scattershot at peak times. Skip the coffee; it's not that kind of place.
