The Old Police Station
A characterful tea house in a converted Yelverton police station, well loved with a 4.6 rating from close to a thousand reviews.

Café · Yelverton
Tucked on the edge of Dartmoor, this is a proper walkers' café that happens to be very easy with children — free parking outside, buggy access, high chairs, and plenty of room in the outdoor seating for a pram or a dog on a sunny day. Portions are big and prices fair: bacon and sausage baguettes with a real pile of chips, enormous ploughman's, burgers a teenager rated among the finest he'd had, cream teas, and a Nutella hot chocolate that gets talked about. There's a kids' menu, and the staff clearly clock a hungry child — one family had their son's sandwich out well ahead of the adults' food. Vegetarian and vegan options exist, though the veggie sausages disappoint some, and the fry-up strikes the odd person as ordinary for the price.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
