A Brazilian churrascaria in the city centre where the meat comes to you — servers move round the tables slicing cuts straight onto your plate, which turns dinner into something of a spectacle for children old enough to enjoy the show. Tables are generally seated quickly, and the team is warm and attentive without hovering, checking in constantly and steering you towards their favourites. The salad bar is genuinely good and wide-ranging, useful when one child wants nothing to do with steak, and the parmesan chips get singled out again and again. High chairs are available, there's outdoor seating, and buggies get in without a fight. Two things to know: it's expensive, and the table is yours for two hours, so an early booking works better with small children. Most cuts arrive rare. One family called the value "exceptional" all the same.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
