Restaurant · Lincoln
A small Lincolnshire dining room that punches well above its size — simple and elegant inside, and though it's compact it doesn't feel cramped, with room enough that parties of ten and twelve have been seated comfortably. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, plus vegan options, and free parking nearby (two hours) takes the usual scramble out of arriving. Staff are attentive without hovering, which helps when children are restless. The pies come in for particular praise — beef and cheese, cheddar and onion — alongside the Sunday roast with cauliflower cheese, generously portioned, and the brownie for pudding. Midweek set menus keep it reasonable at around £26.50 for two courses. The bathrooms are spotless, which parents notice. Booking is wise; one family called it a real gem they wished they'd found sooner.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
