Handy if you're heading along the A40 — this smokehouse pub in Eynsham has ample free parking, so you're not circling with a hungry toddler in the back. Inside it's rustic wood, soft lighting and comfortable seating, with high chairs and buggy access, plus spacious, well-kept outdoor tables when you need somewhere the children can be a bit louder. The food is the draw: properly smoky, freshly cooked, generous enough that staff bring takeaway boxes without being asked — the steak gets particular praise. Service is quick and genuinely good-humoured with families, and there's a kids' menu. Midweek Monday to Thursday deals keep it reasonable; otherwise reckon on £20–30 a head with drinks. It fills up, and family event days are worth checking before you go — one regular calls it their "having friends round" treat.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
