Sunday roasts here come in portions that defeat most adults — a plate of pork belly with three sides and potatoes for £20, or the meat platter with turkey, slow-cooked beef and spiced sausage that families routinely can't finish (the staff will box up what's left). Everything comes off a fire pit and smoker, and it arrives fast, which matters when someone small is unravelling. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, free parking, and a courtyard by the quay that's lovely on a warm day — though the fixed quayside site closes January to April, and a live band sometimes sets up in the evening, so it gets lively. Popular cuts sell out by early evening. Prices on the sides can sting (£9.50 loaded potatoes). Vegetarians manage fine; vegans won't.
