Cafés · Gainsborough
Tucked off the main road beside the antiques centre in Gainsborough, this is a proper down-to-earth café — no frills, but clean, tidy and roomier than it looks, with plenty of seating inside and out and free parking right outside (though the spaces are limited, so arrive early on a Sunday). Buggy access is fine, high chairs are there, and there's a kids' menu. The food is simple British done well: big cooked breakfasts, generous cheese on toast, sausage rolls and a burger people ride out of their way for — all at prices that won't sting. Walls full of RAF memorabilia give children something to look at. It's a popular biker meet, so expect motorbikes coming and going and a lively hum at weekends; the staff take busy periods in their stride and get orders out promptly.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
