Cafés · Exeter
Tucked away enough that you'll want to check the map before setting off — a street sign would help, and the building itself is a bit tired — but once you're in, this is a genuinely easy place to bring a baby or toddler. There's a proper range of toys and activities, plus a little sensory room that keeps small ones happily occupied, and the staff are warm with parents and children alike; one dad was struck by how welcomed he felt. Buggy access is straightforward, high chairs are there, and free street parking outside takes the stress out of arriving. Prices are gentle, there's a kids' menu, and the cakes are worth ordering. Worth knowing it can feel cold and damp in autumn and winter, so bring an extra layer.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
