Cafés · Bury
Halfway round a hike or out for a Sunday morning, this farm shop café earns the stop — the conservatory tables look out across green fields towards Bury, with farm animals close by and a fleet of toy tractors outside for children to climb on. There's plenty of seating indoors and out, a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking, though the car park gets tricky at peak times. Cheese sandwiches come with properly crisp chips, the bacon gets singled out again and again, and the ice cream and milkshakes are the obvious bribe. Prices are fair for the quality, but one family found nearly £20 for a sandwich and two shakes steep. Ordering is a little unclear on a first visit — ask at the counter and you're fine. Spotlessly clean, and the staff are generally warm.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
