Tucked down a side street off the main market area, this is the sort of quick, cheap lunch that works when you've got children in tow and about forty minutes to spare. Food comes out within minutes of ordering — a classic falafel pitta arrives stuffed with six balls, hummus, salad and tahini, and the falafel themselves are properly crisp outside and soft in the middle. Portions are generous for the money; two lunches came to under £18. The halloumi fries with coriander dip and the paprika-seasoned dirty fries get raved about. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options, plus outdoor seats and a roomier upstairs room that one regular describes as "a bit weirdly quiet" — which, with a toddler, may be exactly what you want. Buggy access is fine downstairs; the upstairs seating means stairs.
