Paradise Cafe
Cheap, spotless Arnold café doing a cracking full English, with high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking — but no loo.

Greek · Nottingham
Thirty years in and this place still fills up, which tells you something. Tables are plentiful and well spaced, so a pram isn't a problem, and there's free parking on the road or behind the shops opposite. Food arrives fast — handy when a toddler is running out of patience — and there's a kids' menu and high chairs. The chicken skewers come tender and beautifully spiced, the beef stifado is slow-cooked and soft, and the baklava gets genuine raptures. Vegetarians are looked after too; the moussaka is a favourite. The midweek deal (two courses under £20) is good value. One thing to know: Saturday nights bring music, dancing and plate-smashing, so it's brilliant fun but loud — go earlier in the week if you want a calm meal, and book either way.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
