Two brothers from Galicia have run this small Spanish place for over 30 years, and the welcome is the first thing families notice — staff who chat and take an interest rather than just an order. Tapas is the thing to order: octopus, hake, jamón ibérico and baked aubergines all get singled out, plus off-menu specials worth asking about and a dessert trolley that keeps children going to the end. There are high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor tables, buggy access is fine, and parking is free. It's cosy rather than roomy, so it gets warm and chatty when full. One small gripe: bread arrives by the slice rather than the basket, which feels mean next to all that sauce. One parent calls it "a gem in Epsom".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
