Right in the middle of the city centre, this is a rare find for a family lunch that won't hurt: pasta and pizza at prices that feel like a mistake, tagliatelle bolognese around £7, and slice-and-a-drink deals from about £3. The room is roomy with proper chairs and tables, so there's space to park a pram, and buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted. Everything is halal, with plenty of choice. Staff are attentive without hovering — someone comes round checking on tables, and soft drinks often come with free refills. Pizza is the thing to order: thin, crisp, made fresh. Worth knowing: the pasta can be hit or miss, some drinks arrive in disposable cups, and it's basic rather than smart — one parent found it "extremely affordable" for the location, which is rather the point.
