About E-Street Café

Tucked on Clarkston Road near Muirend, this is a small Bruce Springsteen-themed café with only about seven tables — cosy rather than smart, and honestly tight if you're wrangling a big pram, though buggy access and high chairs are there and outdoor seating gives you breathing room in decent weather. The brunches are the draw: the Southside Johnny (bacon, black pudding, eggs, toast, tattie scone), light fluffy pancakes with vanilla cream and strawberries, French toast that comes back as clean plates, plus rotating specials. Coffee is properly strong and the hot chocolate gets as much praise. The owners chat, joke and are genuinely warm with everyone. There's a kids' menu, and free on-street parking outside plus metered bays. It gets busy — worth booking ahead, and expect a short wait at peak.
