Snug Bristol counter serving classic Cantonese roast duck and char siu at wallet-friendly prices — handy for a quick family bite.

Restaurant · Bristol
A big Greene King pub near the theatre, with rooms wrapping around a central bar — which is the useful bit for parents, because there's plenty of space to park a pram and spread out without feeling hemmed in. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all sorted, and there's outdoor seating for when little ones need air. Portions are genuinely generous: one family travelling from Australia filled up on starters and couldn't finish their mains, with the crispy fresh fish and the pie both going down well, and nuggets for the children. Prices are gentle. The trade-off is timing — it's quiet and easy midweek, but livelier at the weekend with karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights and sport on the big screens. Come early with children, and it's a warm, beautifully decorated stop.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
