South Indian · Swansea
Newly opened and already doing brisk trade, this South Indian spot in Swansea has clearly had thought put into it — proper props and framed pieces rather than printed wallpaper, so it feels warm rather than canteen-like. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all in place, and the team are patient about explaining the menu to first-timers, which helps if your children have never had a dosa. The dosas are the thing: crisp outside, soft within, with a spread of chutneys and sambar that gives fussier eaters something to try. Portions are generous — the lamb chukka and Ambur chicken biryani come loaded — and the chapathi is made from scratch. Sunday buffets suit bigger family groups. Vegan and halal options are covered. Parking at David's Car Park nearby takes the stress out of a city-centre visit.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
