Free entry and free parking make this an easy yes on a day when you're counting pennies, and the paddocks look out over the bay, so the view alone is worth the trip. Kids can buy 50p bags of feed and hand it to goats, donkeys, ponies and chickens — the goats are greedy and it's brilliant fun, and there's a hand-wash station by the restaurant you will absolutely need. The soft play is large with plenty of areas and keeps children going for hours, though there's a small cover charge and it could do with a dust. Food is genuinely good value: one family fed four with drinks for under £35. Wide, clean space to run, friendly staff, roaming peacocks. Worth knowing they're strict about outside food, and most of the menu is Monday to Saturday only — Sundays it's a carvery.
