Seafood · Fort William
Book ahead — it fills up, and for good reason. The seafood is the draw: scallops people describe as the biggest they've ever seen, oysters, mussels in a properly good sauce, and fish and chips that one visitor called a masterpiece. Starters alone can carry a meal, and the apple crumble is worth saving room for. Inside is cosy and warm, with a noise level that stays conversational rather than clattery — easier on a tired toddler than a big echoing dining room. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and a few outdoor tables. Service is friendly, though tables do get turned in the evening, so you may be nudged to order mains sooner than you'd like. It's a treat rather than a cheap supper, and bring your own bibs.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
