Station Tavern
Cosy Cambridge station pub with kids' menu, high chairs and colouring — book a booth, and go for the roast over the fish.

Restaurant · Cambridge
Right by the train station, this is a burger van rather than a sit-down place — worth knowing before you arrive with a hungry toddler — but there's outdoor seating, high chairs, a kids' menu and room to get a pram alongside. The saving grace with children is speed: burgers are cooked fresh in front of you and land in under ten minutes, and the team are chatty and unhurried while they do it. The smash burgers get the loudest praise, particularly the bacon and cheese one and the classic, with fresh, light, crispy fries and loaded fries close behind. Vegan options are available. It's a little pricey for what it is, given the location, and one small warning: the sauce can be generous enough to soften the bun on the walk home. Open late, too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
